Half-Life 2
I never finished HL2, but I was hanging out at Fileshack the other day, and saw a link for a mod for HL2. It was pretty good, and I mentioned it to my friends, which netted me an even BETTER mod: Dystopia.
Dystopia for HL2 is a combo of Tribes and Neuromancer. In Tribes, you select a class of soldier, light, medium or heavy. Then you go out into the world and achieve your objective, which is usually CTF, or C&H or something very FPS-ish. Dystopia takes place in a cyberpunk setting, and you can play as either the Punk hackers, or the Corporate thugs. Your weight class determines your armor and weapon selection, but, like Deus Ex, you get implants which give you nifty abilities like sonic detection, infra-red, invisibility, etc.
If you're familiar with Neuromancer, or even Tron, then you'll appreciate the special ability of the light armor units. They have an enhancement called the "deck" which allows you to hack into the map's computer network. Once you jack in, you switch over to a physical representation of the computer network. As you run along, you can access nodes for security doors, cameras, turrets and elevators. More often than not, these will be firewalled or password protected, so you have programs you can employ to crack the passwords and take down the firewalls. Once your objective is complete, you can set up your OWN Passwords and firewalls on the node. You can also encounter enemy hackers in the system, so you have some combat abilities available as well.
If you have HL2 and are looking for a multiplayer mod in the cyberpunk vein, check this one out. It's currently in beta, so there's only one map, but it's extremely well done and really fun.
