 Gothic horror manga
Recommendations?

Halloween is approaching, and I am starting to have a craving for a manga series with a vampire/supernatural gothic horror theme. I just don´t know any, besides Vampire Hunter D! Can anyone recommend anything? I adore the Castlevania art style and I´d love to have something similar.

There's always Hellsing...or maybe Vampire Knight?

I don't know if either one of them are gothic, per se and they're both very different in style and story, but I read them both, when I get a chance... Smile

Hellsing is definitely an awesome read, and I think you might like Hell Girl. Not sure though, since I don't actually know you... XD

Hmmm... these titles mostly seem to have "Hell" in them...

Oh--there's also Bizenghast, an American manga. I think it's kinda cheesy, but maybe you'll like it. A classic title to pick up would be Bride of Deimos. It's old, but awesome. Princess Resurrection might be good, but I haven't gotten around to reading it yet. Neither have I read Godchild, but I hear it's pretty decent.

Hope that helps, and yes I have a life outside reading manga Laughing

Actually...yeah, totally forgot about Godchild....that's *super* gothic in nature, lol.

I think the Godchild series is actually also a bit of a sequal to The Cain Saga...

I keep trying but I can't think of anything not mentioned. But, Godchild is great.

Eh? I didn't know that. Is the Cain Saga available in the States?

I don't think Magnetic Rose's manga, was ever translated, but I might as well bring it up. I searched for scanlations, but I can't find anything.
