Forum Rules & Regs - i.e. Read this first!

Hi all and welcome to P&T forums. Please note the following rules:

1. Unregistered users may only view topics;registered users may post and read in every forum with the exception of the Rated M for Mature forum.

2. In order to view or access the Rated M for Mature forums you must join the "Rated M for Mature" group - you'll find the link for this under UserGroups. I would also prefer that you PM the administrator (i.e. mynfel) with your date of birth as I would like to keep this forum limited to 18 and up. Can you lie? Sure - but I am not responsible for any offensive material or subject matter. You have been warned. If you are offended by nudity or sex or hentai then *don't* join. Please note - there is now a 5 post minimum to join the Rated M for Mature group.

3. Keep your discussions nice. Agree to disagree or take it offline if you feel as though someone is really in the wrong. Flaming will get you banned from the board for at least 1 week. Multiple flames or trolls will get you permanently banned. If you feel someone is harassing you - please contact a Moderator and we will attempt to make it right.

4. Artwork and Fanfiction are copyrighted to the individuals who created it. That means no stealing of artwork (unless you have prior permission from the artist). If I catch you doing this, you will be banned.

5. Critiquing art or writing is just that - a critique. Offer suggestions or opinions that you think would help the artist/writer. You're free to say you don't like a piece, but don't bust someone because they write a certain way or use an artistic technique you don't like.

6. This forum is for discussions - some of the threads are getting a bit chatty - if a few people start hogging a thread for "chat" purposes it can sometimes intimidate others from joining in the discussion. Use the Chat room set up on shadownet to "chat" or risk getting your threads pruned.

7. Threats of physical violence get you banned. Period.

8. More rules to follow as I think of them. Enjoy Smile

I hope I did nothing wrong to ask my question here ...

Some forums have a strict rule when a thread is to be "buried", e.g. if the last post dates back 1.1.2007, posting in this thread will get you into trouble. How is it handled here? Is there any time limit I should consider?

No time limits, unless a thread has been expressly locked by a mod because discussions got out of hand.

Beyond that, thread resurrection is encouraged whenever someone has something new to add to a topic Smile
