I'm Back Sweetie has returned...you may all run for your lives! Hi, everyone! I'm not new but I was lost in the great server crash and, because there was a lot of general craziness in my life at the time, I was gone for a bit. Thanks to Myn, though, for doing her best to reach out to me via some of you who know me on other sites. I did get the messages but, as I said, real life got a bit in the way.
Anyhow, hello to all of my old friends who are hanging around hereabouts. Some of you I've been fortunate enough to see one other sites, and some of you I've been missing since I was gone. So a big hello to you!

Glad to see you found your way back Sweetie! I was hoping we hadn't lost you for good in the great server crash of '09. Or was it '08? LOL - and will great server crashes come to be known with the infamy reserved to things like great northerner's are in the east?
Anyway - glad you're back.

I think it may have been 08. Loooots of things have happened in the meantime including:
1. My giving birth to a son, who was a big, big surprise to us!
2. My teaching French for a year, then being switched to yearbook, then quitting my job. Woo hoo! I was *quite* happy to leave the yearbook thing behind.
3. Our buying a house about six weeks after the aforementioned little guy was born. The house needed quite a bit of work, thanks to the neglect of the previous owners.
4. My daughter starting kindergarten.
And plenty of other things in between. Some good, some not so good. All in all, I'm in a happy place right now, though.

Thanks for the welcome, everyone, and thanks, Chey, for the congrats. Little man was VERY unexpected. I admit I flipped my lid a little bit when I found out that I was pregnant. I so was not intending for that to happen. Once I calmed down, though, I was very happy about it and he's an excellent addition to our family. It's hard to have a bad day when I have such a cute, chubby little face to admire!
It's good to be back here. I sincerely missed everyone. You're a wonderful group of ladies and I thought of you often!
[Edit] And gents too! I certainly don't want to forget about our excellent male members!

Congrats! And once again, I'm sorry I couldn't reinstate your account after the crash.
But I'm glad you're back.

Nice to see you Sweetie! I had wondered where you had disappeared off to. Apparently to Mommy-dom! Congrats!

Teacherdom took up a lot of my time, too. The most exhausting experience of my life was teaching while being pregnant. I used to come home at the end of the day feeling like a zombie--and I was only teaching two hours a day! I don't know how full-time teachers do it.
