 Warhammer Online anyone?

Warhammer Online is going to be released in a few days, and I have to admit I'm looking forward to trying this game. Game-wise it suspiciously looks a lot like World of Warcrack, but check out the different classes yo - they are unique to each race. There's a lot to choose from, and I don't know which one to play first! Laughing Laughing Laughing

The odds are good!

I'm going to have to roll a dark elf. The high elves must pay the price for their nightmarish fashion choices! Twisted Evil

I have been playing in the WAR open beta.

It is legitamately good, and the public quests are a blast!

It's trade skills are not as detailed as WoW but it has a good smooth feel, i like it better.

I pre-ordered the special edition at my local game store ages ago,and now I have no money in my account (curse you, student loan payments!) and the release date is creeping up on me. Maybe I can borrow some cash to get a headstart. It looks so much fun, and I really can't wait to get back into an MMO where I don't already know about everything and where it's not a chore (yet) to do things. With my boyfriend at uni, WoW was a really great way for us to do something together online, but since we're both sick of that, maybe WAR is the new miracle cure?

I'm gonna roll a Zealot, or maybe a Sorceress...

I can vouch for it being heinously fun to play with a faraway boyfriend. Particularly if you both find the idea of pummeling cowering high elves and herding them into slave wagons extremely funny. Very Happy

And is it just me, or do all the male dark elves look like Christian Bale?

Oh I'm certainly loving it. The public quests and RvRs are way too much fun to pass up. My only trouble is that I can't decide which class to focus on Laughing I've played a Witch Elf, a Black Orc and a Maurauder on one server and then a White Lion, a Witch Hunter, and an Engineer on another. Ack it's so hard to choose! Laughing Laughing

Of all the classes I've tried, the Disciple of Khaine is far and away my favourite. Good Orc

I think they need to do some balancing, though. My DoK can get jumped by five things her own level and walk away with full health, but if my Sorceress gets caught offguard by two (and given the speed of respawns, that happens a lot), she's toast.

This game is definitely going strong. I play as few hours each week. Not much time for more than that. They've just made several changes to scenarios that most people are really enjoying.
